Five sectors in Wallonia : current situation and scenarios towards 2050

What are the main production systems today in Wallonia? How are the sectors organised? What developments can be envisaged, and with what consequences in terms of production and inputs use?

Presentation

Five studies were carried out on the main agricultural and livestock sectors in Wallonia: cereals, potatoes, vegetables, dairy and bovine meat.

These studies provide an overview of each sector, highlighting the diversity of production systems and comparing a series of prospective scenarios.

These studies were developed in an iterative and participatory manner. They are based on the literature, available statistical data, and the knowledge of experts in the sectors provided during individual interviews and collective focus group discussions.

The results of the studies are presented in more detail in the attached documents (in French).
