The development of seed production in Wallonia is important in terms of resilience, autonomy, technical development, and economic opportunities.
Despite this, seed production in Wallonia and Belgium exists but remains limited. This policy brief proposes risk management tools and compensation mechanisms that can be put in place to strengthen small and medium-sized regional businesses and encourage their development, with a view to achieving diversified and sustainable regional market gardening production.
