Member of Sytra's team
Océane Duluins graduated from UCLouvain in 2020 with a master’s degree in bioengineering sciences. She conducted her doctoral research in the Sytra team, under the supervision of Prof. Philippe Baret, while also serving as a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Bioengineering sciences. Her PhD research explores one of the major ongoing transformations in agri-food systems, the protein transition, understood as the shift from unsustainable animal-based dietary and production patterns toward more sustainable protein sources and production systems. Her work focuses on the systemic dimensions of this transition, seeking to understand not only its technical aspects but also the underlying social, institutional, and epistemic dynamics that shape it. By developing an interdisciplinary and critical research approach, Océane also reflects on the role of science itself in shaping and supporting sustainable transitions.
